Dorann A. Hurley
President, CCO
Since 1987, Dorann Hurley has worked with clients to provide sound financial advice. She focuses on investment consulting services and advanced planning strategies. Dorann is the founder and owner of Hurley Financial Group, Inc.
She works with her clients to help them meet their objectives both in planning for retirement and also managing their assets throughout their retirement years. Her investment strategy emphasizes risk management and preserving client wealth. Through consistent effort and a reputation of integrity, she has built a solid base of clients who consistently recommend her firm to their friends and colleagues.
Dorann is a graduate of Bismarck State College, and began her professional career as a business analyst for a Connecticut software firm. She launched her career as a wealth manager after gaining her expertise as an analyst in the software industry for five years.
She is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, Registered Principal offering securities through Geneos Wealth Management, Inc. and holds Series 6, 7, 24, 26, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses.
Dorann has served on the Finance Committee for the Board of Directors at Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and is a past president of the Corvallis Boys & Girls Club. She was also the assistant girls basketball coach for Corvallis High from 2012-2016. Now residing in Arizona, she spends several months a year in Oregon and is still a Beaver Believer! In her leisure hours, she enjoys golfing, pickleball, and other sports activities.
Dorann has two children, her oldest Hunter graduated from the Foster School of Business at University of Washington and is currently a manager with Harry’s Razors in NYC. Her youngest, Taylor, is graduated from the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan and is currently working with Bain as a consultant in Chicago.
Megan E. Schneider
Vice-President
As Vice-President of the firm, Megan E.Schneider focuses on investment consulting services and advanced planning strategies. She works directly with Dorann to achieve the firm’s objectives of constructing global portfolios that participate in growth opportunities while minimizing risk, volatility, and tax consequences to the client. The investment strategies utilized are based on well-respected institutional portfolio design emphasizing low-correlating assets for greater diversification.
In 1989, Megan graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. In 1991, she graduated from Arizona State University with a Master of Science. Her analytical background led her to research in the field of portfolio design including both strategic and tactical investment decision methods.
Megan is a Registered Representative offering securities through Geneos Wealth Management, Inc. and holds Series 7, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses. Specializing in Hewlett Packard (HP) retirement planning, she has given numerous financial education seminars covering retirement planning, institutional portfolio design, tax saving strategies and alternative investment categories.
Megan lives with her husband Rob in Corvallis, Oregon. She has two sons, who have both started their professional careers. Her oldest son Davis is a Consultant with KPMG in Atlanta GA and her youngest son, Ben currently works and lives in the Portland Area. She is actively involved in her community. Besides volunteering on numerous community service projects, she has served on the boards of the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Greater Corvallis, and the Corvallis Majestic Theatre.
Keith P. Marshall
Certified Financial Planner®, COO
As a CFP® Keith works together with clients to create an outline for their future and to implement that outline with investment consulting services and advanced planning strategies. Keith works directly with Dorann and Megan to provide the best advice to clients and to maintain Hurley Financial Group’s commitment to service. His integrity and consistency has built a great rapport with our clients as shown by their willingness to recommend him to their family, friends, and colleagues.
Keith received his Bachelors of Arts in Finance from George Fox University in 2010. In addition to his studies he played soccer for the university all four years. He completed his Masters of Science in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University in 2012. After working in the financial planning field for two years he was eligible for, and passed, the Certified Financial Planner® exam.
Keith is an Investment Advisor Representative offering securities through Geneos Wealth Management Inc., and holds Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA Licenses. He specializes in retirement planning, and is well versed in pension and 401(K) allocations and rollovers. He has experience with the PERS system as well as large manufacturing pension plans.
Both at home and in his community, Keith is very active and he and his wife stay busy raising their 3 young children. Keith serves as the vice-president of the board for a non-profit focused on educating youth in Uganda who have aged out of the orphanage system. He also continues to play soccer locally and is a small group leader in his local church.
Daniel J. Thom
Investment Advisor Representative
In 2022, Daniel Thom joined Hurley Financial Group (HFG) after working for the Charles Schwab Salem Independent Branch. He works directly with Megan and Keith to achieve the firm’s objectives of constructing global portfolios that participate in growth opportunities while minimizing risk, volatility, and tax consequences to the client and maintaining HFG’s commitment to service.
Daniel received his Bachelors of Arts in Humanities from Western Oregon University in 2017, graduating Summa Cum Laude in the Honors Program. Before becoming a financial advisor, Daniel worked in higher education, and brings his passion for learning to financial advising, helping clients gain the understanding and tools they need to wisely and strategically invest.
Daniel is a Registered Representative offering securities through Geneos Wealth Management, Inc. and holds Series 7 & 66 FINRA licenses. He is committed to walking clients through investing in various life stages while wisely navigating competing goals.
Growing up in Corvallis, he loves the community and people. He currently lives in Independence with his wife and children. In his free time, Daniel enjoys reading, cooking, woodworking, and is actively involved in his local church serving as an elder and small group leader.
